Air

AIR is a striking superyacht, with a long lean bow and matt black hull – she looks like a yacht determined to go her own way. The long flat deck forward of the bridge is an uncluttered expanse of teak, except for the neat rectangular swimming pool. At anchor, a few carefully placed loungers and umbrellas create the perfect lido on sea. The other feature obvious from her sleek profile is the helipad to aft; the first in the fleet licenced for charter guests to use. Her interiors echo the long lean lines, with a strictly minimal theme that emphasises the sense of light – and air. Monochrome dominates: white sofas and pale rugs on natural floorboards in the main saloon sit next to the black and white dining set. Throughout the yacht this largely white theme is occasionally broken with blocks of simple colour or abstract art. The master cabin is perhaps the most dramatic space – being almost pure white except for bleached floorboards and a painting in greys and yellow. Upstairs in the owner’s private observation lounge, warmer-toned floorboards are the only non-white feature. The VIP cabins on this deck also have look outs; ‘dolphin watching’ seating on protrusions out from the deck high above the waves. On all of the decks, colour is found in the sea and sky, furnishings remain white, chrome or teak. The circular aft deck dining table is echoed in round chromed chairs and loungers, and guests will also enjoy the sun deck loungers and Jacuzzi cinema. Right down at water level, the beach club, with massage room, gives access to the watertoys: AIR is a PADI certified training centre and RYA Water Sports Centre – so guests can tire themselves out in style before retreating to those tranquil interiors.
