Feadship

FEADSHIP HISTORY

Feadship emerged in 1949 as a joint effort between six Dutch shipyards and the yacht designer De Voogt Naval Architects. The mission was bold — to put Dutch yacht building firmly on the global map, with a particular focus on the booming American market for large private yachts. Through the 1950s and 60s, the brand carved out its reputation with tailor-made vessels that combined meticulous craftsmanship with technical ingenuity. By the 1970s and 80s, Feadship’s name had become shorthand for cutting-edge motor yachts. The consortium gradually centered around two great shipbuilding dynasties — Koninklijke De Vries and Royal Van Lent — still collaborating with De Voogt. Today, with advanced yards in Aalsmeer, Kaag, Makkum, and Amsterdam, Feadship remains a benchmark in fully custom yacht construction, blending tradition with forward-looking design.

FEADSHIP PHILOSOPHY

Feadship's concept is upon the art of creating entirely customized superyachts by fusing innovative design with Dutch workmanship. Each boat is created according to the owner's concept, giving performance, quality, and classic style precedence over uniformity. The shipyard places a high importance on cooperation among designers, naval architects, and craftspeople to guarantee that every vessel is distinctive but practical. Their strategy is driven by sustainability and cutting-edge engineering — from onboard systems to hull design. Feadship is committed to building yachts that last by fusing innovation and painstaking attention to detail to provide not only opulent but also enduring representations of individual flair and superior marine craftsmanship.

FEADSHIP MODEL LINES

Feadship doesn't have standardized "model lines," since each yacht is a one-off, full-custom build tailored to the client's specific requirements; instead, the shipyard prioritizes a fully personalized approach, blending advanced technology with artisanal craftsmanship to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

Additionally, there is also Feadship’s Future Concepts series which displays the shipyard’s forward-thinking approach to luxury yachting by intertwining modern aesthetics, sustainability, and advanced technologies. The most notable include Concept Dune — a sustainable 83-meter yacht inspired by sand dunes; Concept Pure — an 82-meter minimalist yacht that encourages tranquility and social interaction; Concept Breathe — an 82-meter “biomimetic” yacht that utilizes renewable energy and innovative materials; Concept Choice — a 74-meter versatile superyacht with a detachable beach house, large tenders, drones, and control-enabled sensor technology; Concept C — a 75-meter yacht that pays tribute to Feadship’s 75th anniversary and incorporates technical futurism with classic design.
