OVERVIEW
SARASTAR is not a big white superyacht with elegant minimal interiors. She might just be that yacht’s nemesis; sleek, low, dark-hulled with jaw-dropping interiors in jewel shades with acres of exotic marble… From the outset, SARASTAR dares to be different, with her midnight hull and silver superstructure, stretching low and lean to the water, by night these lovely lines are enhanced by strips of light, which change colour from blue to purple to pink… (This is a hint to the total absence of fear of colour on board.) The main saloon has green marble floors. And silver drapes. Pale sofas with green cushions. The darkest lacquer window surrounds. Green. A colour that is rarely, if ever used on board – folk lore says it can make you feel sea sick, but then folk lore also said that it was bad luck to have a woman on a boat! It looks fantastic – and very green, meanwhile the back-lit onyx bar and glass table contrasts with the dark wood dining table and rich leather chairs. The accommodation is just as highly styled: The master suite has a fold-down balcony – which you might not notice as you’ll be hypnotised by this black and purple richly textured boudoir. If only there was a superyacht award for ‘sexiest stateroom ever.’The sun deck is yet another reimagined space. Stunning chairs which resemble giant polished steel nests are grouped near black sun loungers. Forward there is a huge eight stool bar plus tables – it’s a nice touch to find a bar big enough for all guests to group around. SARASTAR is an extraordinary superyacht, sure to split opinions, always turning heads. She would make for a great grown up, full-throttle charter.
