About Mondomarine Yachts
Mondomarine, founded in 1915 as the Campanella shipyard, has evolved from a commercial ship repair and maintenance facility into one of Italy’s most respected superyacht builders. It entered the luxury sector in the 1970s, launching its first superyachts under the Mondomarine name. In 2018, Mondomarine was acquired by Palumbo Superyachts, marking a new era of innovation and international expansion. Today, the shipyard specializes in the construction of fully custom aluminum and steel superyachts from 40 to 75 meters, combining advanced engineering with Italian artistry. The portfolio includes iconic yachts such as Ipanema, Tribù, Sarastar, and Serenity, each recognized for distinctive design and technical innovation. Currently, the shipyard develops two main series — Discovery and Classic — alongside bold concepts like Eidos and Sea Falcon, strengthening its standing as a forward-thinking builder. Integrated into Palumbo Superyachts’ network — which also encompasses ISA Yachts — Columbus Yachts, and Extra Yachts, Mondomarine stands at the forefront of contemporary Italian yacht building.

MONDOMARINE HISTORY
Founded in 1915 as Cantieri Navali Campanella in Savona, Italy, the shipyard initially specialized in commercial vessel maintenance and wartime naval repairs. Returning to commercial work in the 1950s, it shifted direction in the 1970s under new ownership, marking its entry into luxury yacht building with the 48-meter Mohamedia for the billionaire Adnan Khashoggi. By the 1990s, Mondomarine was firmly established as a builder of fully custom aluminum and steel superyachts, merging Italian craftsmanship with state-of-the-art engineering. Today, the shipyard is still operating from its historic facility and continues to build custom yachts for clients from around the world.
