LEGEND was constructed as an ice-breaker – and she still makes voyages to the Arctic and Antarctic, but she does it in complete luxury. Icon yachts carried out a complete refit to successfully convert LEGEND into a true superyacht. Her size lends many advantages: 13 cabins greet the lucky guests – the master and VIPs have tons of extra space for a lounge, office and even small dining areas. Two twins right next to the master suite on the upper deck could be very useful for a charter primary with young children and the five double/twins convertibles give plenty of flexibility. But it’s the number of different zones for entertainment that are astonishing. There is a beautiful Balinese spa on the lower deck with waterfall Jacuzzi, massage and hydrotherapy – which might be necessary after a session in the main deck fitness room with gym equipment. Or relax in the purpose-built cinema theatre; for real peace and quiet the central lobby with compass rose floor doubles as the library. There is also a smaller dining room, which could be a useful meeting room off the main saloon, itself boasting a stunning dining table for 26 next to the bar and fireside lounge. If the weather is too warm for the fire, all 26 can dine on the aft deck overlooking the large swimming pool, then retire to the aft upper deck ‘outside saloon’ to enjoy a nightcap. If it becomes too chilly, the checkerboard themed sky lounge is a fun place to relax – there is a fire pit too! Of course, one of the main attractions of LEGEND is her ability to explore distant shores: as well as the poles she also visits the Norwegian fjords and South America, complete with helipad, submarine and huge array of watertoys. LEGEND really lives up to her name.
