BLEU DE NIMES began as a British Royal Navy Magnet Class degaussing ship built in 1980 by Clelands Shipbuilding Co Ltd. Converted in 2000 to a luxury yacht, she retained the original robust hull while gaining a completely new superstructure and interior, classified as a new build by Lloyds. The owner extended the yacht by 16 meters amidships and stern, increasing her length to 72.25 meters and volume by nearly 600 GT during a second major refit. Modernized systems, enhanced autonomy for 40 people, and amenities make her a capable explorer yacht. Bleu de Nîmes has voyaged to remote areas and functions successfully as a charter, combining military heritage with luxury explorer features under Captain Mascia Poma's long-standing crew.
