FOUNTAINE PAJOT HISTORY

Founded in 1976 in Aigrefeuille-d’Aunis, near La Rochelle, France, by Jean-François Fountaine, Yves Pajot, Daniel Givon, and Rémi Tristan, Fountaine Pajot began with a shared passion for sailing and innovation. Starting with racing dinghies and IOR prototypes, the shipyard invented the cruising catamaran in 1983. Known for its advanced composite technologies—such as resin-infusion molding—Fountaine Pajot quickly became a leader in eco-friendly yacht construction. The group later acquired Dufour Yachts, adding monohull sailing yachts to its range and continuing its tradition of innovation. Today, Fountaine Pajot is advancing carbon-neutral cruising through its ODSeaLab innovation platform and Smart Electric initiatives.

FOUNTAINE PAJOT PHILOSOPHY

From Olympic benches to world championships, Fountaine Pajot has always pursued innovation. A pioneer in production catamarans, revolutionary injection techniques, and eco-cruising, the Group combines luxury, performance, and sustainability. Operating in 80 countries, its sailing and motor yachts offer comfort and seaworthiness, with a vision to lead in green-energy cruising that respects and preserves the world’s oceans.
