PERINI NAVI HISTORY
Established in 1983 in Viareggio by Fabio Perini, Perini Navi transformed sailing with cutting-edge innovations and Italian craftsmanship. In 1984, its first yacht, Clan VI (“Number 1”), debuted with automated sails, a flying bridge, and a luxurious interior. From 1985 to 2004, the yard expanded its fleet of luxury ketches and schooners, including Parsifal III and the launch of the Perini Navi Cup. In 2006, the 88-meter Maltese Falcon introduced the radical DynaRig system, reshaping modern sailing. Despite the 2008–2009 financial crisis, the yard produced remarkable yachts such as Panthalassa, Melek, and Perseus³. After the 2020–2021 pandemic setback, the Italian Sea Group relaunched the brand, leading to new projects like the catamaran Art Explorer (2023) and the sovereign ketch Katana (2024).
PERINI NAVI PHILOSOPHY
Perini Navi’s ethos is based on the harmonious union of innovative engineering, the Italian craft tradition, and unpretentious luxury in the creation of large, custom-built sailing yachts that perform well and require minimal crew. Their approach holds that true refinement is found in understated simplicity, where form and function come together seamlessly, each detail rendered to the highest degree of bespoke quality.
PERINI NAVI MODEL LINES
Perini Navi specializes exclusively in custom yachts rather than maintaining a fixed list of models. That means all yachts are rare, unique, and bespoke vessels. Notable vessels include:
MALTESE FALCON
