Codecasa Yachts for charter

About Codecasa Yachts

Codecasa has been building yachts in Viareggio since 1825 and remains a family-owned shipyard to this day. Its steel and aluminium vessels, ranging from 30 to 70 metres, are always custom-made and carefully balanced between engineering precision and design intention. Some projects embrace clean, contemporary geometry; others draw on classical profiles and maritime references. But all of them share the same mindset: no shortcuts, no concessions. Codecasa’s construction is methodical, its approach to detail almost obsessive. Innovation is not treated as a slogan — it’s part of the duty the yard owes to each future owner.

Codecasa Yachts

CODECASA HISTORY

Founded in 1825 by Giovanni Battista Codecasa in the bustling maritime hub of Viareggio, the Codecasa shipyard began as a humble family workshop, crafting traditional sailing and fishing boats for local seafarers. By 1902 the family opened its own shipyard, quietly establishing a reputation for meticulous craftsmanship. For decades, the shipyard served Italy’s working fleets—until the 1970s, when Fulvio Codecasa joined the business and ushered in a new era. In 1973, Codecasa launched its first luxury motor yacht, setting the stage for rapid growth. Three new shipyard sites followed - Codecasa UGO SpA (1977), Codecasa Due (1982) and Codecasa TRE SpA (1987). As the yachts became larger and more sophisticated, the company expanded again in 2011, adding a major facility in Pisa. While Codecasa maintains an experienced in-house team of designers and developers, the shipyard frequently partners with renowned international design studios to bring truly custom luxury yacht visions to life.

CODECASA PHILOSOPHY

Codecasa Shipyard’s philosophy is rooted in the belief that true luxury starts with individuality. Every yacht is entirely custom-built, the result of a close, personal dialogue between the client and the Codecasa team. Fulvio Codecasa, who has led the company for four decades, remains directly involved in every stage of construction - from the initial concept to the smallest finishing touch. The attention to detail borders on the extreme. Fulvio often reminds his team that he is the most demanding client they’ll ever meet and he behaves accordingly. Workers, some of whom have spent decades in the shipyard, approach their craft with the same seriousness and pride. Perhaps this is why so many well-known entrepreneurs and designers choose Codecasa. They come for the skill, of course, but they stay for the respect, the care, and the way the family listens.

CODECASA YACHTS MODEL LINES

CLASSIC LINE

The Classic line is a good example of the brand's classic style. The hulls of these yachts are long and elegant, made of steel, and the superstructures are made of aluminum. Their design is timeless and stable, making them comfortable for ocean cruising. Typical lengths are between 40 and 70 meters, Cruising Speeds are between 14 and 18 knots, and ranges can be as long as 6,000 nautical miles. The Codecasa 58(Hull C128), which is based on the KATHRYN platform, and the Codecasa 55(Hull F79), which combines classic lines with modern interiors, are two well-known examples.

VINTAGE LINE

Rooted in elegant, timeless design, the Vintage line embraces classic proportions, soft exterior lines and refined interiors. These yachts often look like cruisers from the middle of the 20th century, but they are built with modern technology and comfort in mind. 42m. Magari and the sleek 50m. Framura are strong representatives of this style, both praised for their restrained silhouettes and high level of craftsmanship.

SPORT LINE

This is where Codecasa delivers a more aggressive and performance-oriented product. Angular lines, lower profiles and top-tier propulsion packages define the Sport models. They are built for owners who prioritise speed but do not want to compromise on interior space and finish. Flying Dagger, part of the 50m. line, illustrates this philosophy well with her sharp styling and 17+ knot Cruising Speeds.

FAST DISPLACEMENT LINE

The Fast Displacement (FD) line focuses on speed and efficiency without giving up luxury. The lighter hulls allow them to cruise faster while still being able to cross the ocean. FD yachts are usually between 45 and 70 meters long, reach Maximum Speeds of 18 to 22 knots, and can travel between 3,500 and 5,500 nautical miles. The Codecasa 57 FD (Hull F81) is a 56.75m. yacht powered by two Caterpillar engines. The Codecasa 65 FD (Hull F84) is another notable yacht that offers high-performance cruising with a modern, elegant design.
