Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) was established in 2010 in Ancona, Italy, by Ennio Cecchini, Gabriele Virgili, and Vasco Buonpensiere, who combined their expertise in commercial shipbuilding and yacht brokerage. The yard quickly gained recognition for building strong, ocean-going explorer yachts, launching its first model—the Darwin Class Vitadimare 3—just a year later. Focused on steel hulls and tailored designs, CdM carved out a niche for long-range yachts between 26 and 50 meters.
