Operations are anchored in two Italian facilities. The La Spezia yard is the main production hub, with two docks for yachts up to 80 meters and three warehouses for yachts up to 70 meters, plus workshops and direct waterfront access for simultaneous construction. The Carrara facility complements production with three warehouses for yachts up to 35 meters and four warehouses for yachts up to 50 meters, supporting final outfitting and select naval projects. The historic Varazze site now hosts refit and service under Alfa Servizi Nautici. Baglietto Americas in Fort Lauderdale manages client support, sales, and regional coordination in the Americas. From engineering excellence to custom interiors, Baglietto delivers technical accomplishment and the best onboard living lifestyle for owners and charter clients with boats that are as stylish as they are unmistakably Italian.
BAGLIETTO HISTORY
Founded in 1854 in Varazze, Baglietto began with small boats before quickly gaining prominence with record-setting sailing and motor yachts. By the early 20th century, the shipyard had already launched Italy’s largest cruising yacht, Giuseppina (1906), and pioneered hydrofoil research. During the First World War, Baglietto expanded into military craft, building fast MAS motorboats, before returning in the 1920s and 30s to create bespoke yachts for royalty and cultural figures such as King Alfonso XIII, Marconi, Puccini, and D’Annunzio. Innovation marked every decade: 1929 saw Italy's first 12-meter racing yacht; the 1960s introduced novel plywood and flying-bridge concepts; the 1970s featured phenomenal aluminium speed icons like Chato. The modern era of superyachts began in the 1990s with collaborations with Francesco Paszkowski and a subsequent move to La Spezia. Today, Baglietto stands as a symbol of Italian excellence — heritage and technology fused in yachts built for visionary owners.
BAGLIETTO PHILOSOPHY
Baglietto’s philosophy is grounded in the notion that no two yachts are ever the same, because no two owners are. With every project, they remain true to individuality, bringing dreams to life through a process driven by passion, attention to detail, and the highest standards. The shipyard's goal is to build yachts that are not only of the utmost quality, style, and innovation, but also able to satisfy the highest expectations of owners. For over 165 years, Baglietto has married tradition with a forward-looking approach to design, materials, and total customization. In doing so, they offer yachts of timeless elegance — creations that embody an owner's vision and exemplify the meaning of “Made in Italy.”
