CHRISTINA O was originally launched in 1943 as the Canadian naval frigate HMCS Stormont. She served in WWII, including Atlantic convoys and D-Day landings. Greek billionaire Aristotle Onassis bought her in 1951 for $34,000 and spent $4 million converting her into a lavish yacht, naming her after his daughter. Architect Cäsar Pinnau redesigned the superyacht with ornate interiors, including a mosaic swimming pool that transformed into a dance floor, marble ensuites, gold fittings, and unique artworks. The yacht hosted Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, John F Kennedy, and many other dignitaries. She set new luxury standards and remains a legendary symbol of opulence and history in yachting.
