VIKING YACHTS HISTORY
Established in 1964 by brothers Bill and Bob Healey, Viking Yachts began operations in New Gretna, New Jersey, building 11-meter wooden sportfishing boats. Always committed to the principle “Build a better boat every day,” Viking introduced its first fiberglass models in the 1970s and developed a reputation for quality and innovation. Although the 1990s presented challenges, including the luxury tax crisis, Viking recovered and is now again a global leader in the semi-custom yacht market. The Viking family has also expanded the brand with Valhalla Boatworks and Princess Yachts America, yet Viking remains proudly family-owned and operated—a renowned manufacturer known for exceptional craftsmanship, performance, and leadership in the marine industry.
