Sanlorenzo Yachts for charter

About Sanlorenzo Yachts

Sanlorenzo has been crafting bespoke motor yachts since 1958, establishing itself as one of Italy’s most exclusive shipyards. Unlike volume-driven builders, Sanlorenzo produces only around 50 yachts per year. With facilities in Ameglia, Viareggio, Massa, and La Spezia, the shipyard covers the entire spectrum of luxury yacht construction — from fiberglass motor yachts to steel and alloy superyachts. Every Sanlorenzo yacht is a one-of-a-kind creation, combining Italian craftsmanship, contemporary design, and technical innovation. Over the decades, the shipyard has delivered around 1,000 vessels, none identical to another, building its reputation for exclusivity and refinement. Since 2005, Sanlorenzo has significantly expanded its capabilities while maintaining a boutique approach. Today, it ranks among the top builders in Boat International’s Global Order Book, recognized worldwide for uncompromising quality, made-to-measure design, and a dedication to yacht owners seeking individuality at sea.

Sanlorenzo Yachts

Sanlorenzo History

Sanlorenzo was founded in 1958 by Gianfranco Cecchi and Giuliano Pecchia in Limite sull’Arno, near Florence. In 1972, Giovanni Jannetti took over, relocating to Viareggio. In 1985, under the name Cantieri Navali Sanlorenzo, the shipyard launched its first fiberglass yacht, the SL57. A milestone came in 1995 with the SL100, reshaping the superyacht sector. By 1999, operations moved to Ameglia, within a natural reserve in Liguria. Massimo Perotti acquired the company in 2005, renaming it Sanlorenzo S.p.A. Rapid growth followed, with award-winning launches such as the SD92 and 40Alloy in 2007, SD122 in 2008, and the 46Steel in 2010. The yard expanded into La Spezia in 2016 for superyacht production, unveiling models like the SX88 and 52Steel. Sanlorenzo went public in 2019, the same year it launched its 64Steel flagship. Recent innovations include the SX112 (2020), SL90A (2021), SP110 (2022), X-Space (2023), and in 2024, the pioneering 50Steel, the first superyacht powered by green methanol.

Sanlorenzo Philosophy

Sanlorenzo is inspired by time-tested values: building yachts that transcend fashion to become real classics. The shipyard has been producing custom motor yachts since 1958, revealing itself through the lifestyle and the needs of the owner. Each vessel begins with listening and undergoes five separate levels of customization. Nothing is "standard". Rather, owners choose layouts, materials, and details reflecting their true self, supported through leading international designers and artisans. From rare marbles to fine woods — each element is carefully chosen to deliver harmony and perfection. Like a tailor-made suit, every Sanlorenzo is one-of-a-kind yacht - built to withstand the rigors of the sea, to express the owner’s personality, and to have a life as a singular work of art.

Sanlorenzo Model Lines

SL Yacht range

Sleek, refined, and perfectly proportioned, the SL fleet represents Sanlorenzo’s collection of planing yachts. Spanning from 24 to 37 meters in length, the series offers a wide selection of models. Each yacht — no matter its size — can be tailored with multiple layout configurations and fully customized to reflect the individual style and lifestyle of her owner.

SD Yacht range

The SD fleet reflects the timeless elegance of classic vessels. Sanlorenzo’s semi-displacement yachts are inspired by the graceful lines of 1930s Trans-Atlantic liners. The units in this series are made of composite materials and range from 28 to 38 meters in length, combining elegance with outstanding cruising performance to reach even the most distant destinations.

SX Yacht range

The forward-reaching superstructure and the expansive beach area, reminiscent of a generous terrace, immediately signal that the SX line represents a groundbreaking design. Spaces and functions merge seamlessly, creating a versatile “crossover” vessel tailored for the discerning modern owner.

SP range

The SP line showcases the Sanlorenzo philosophy of sustainability, comfort, and exclusivity all coming together. It represents a true evolution in yachting, where vessels have been redefined to maximize usability, but never straying from the true nature of Sanlorenzo.

Steel

Sanlorenzo's Steel line represents large, steel-hulled superyachts ranging from 50 to 74 meters, designed for spacious and innovative liveability. They blend indoor/outdoor areas and feature dedicated Master's decks and private balconies. With fast displacement hulls reaching up to 17 knots, extensive customization options, and amenities like floodable tender garages that convert into luxurious beach clubs, these yachts emphasize architectural design, abundant natural light, and a profound connection with the sea.

Explorer Range

Sanlorenzo’s Explorer line features steel-hulled, displacement yachts built for long-range voyages to remote destinations. They bring together rugged, self-sufficient performance with luxurious, voluminous interiors and latest-spec amenities including helipads and large toy garages.Indoor garages fit tenders up to 7 meters, while additional openings expand beach areas, delivering a full connection with the sea and enabling stylish, comfortable global exploration.

X Space

Sanlorenzo's X-Space line blends extensive volumes, a five-deck layout, and innovative use of glass with the "classic navetta" tradition for owners who desire to explore distant destinations in discreet elegance. Key features include an 18-meter pool on the main deck's open aft area, fold-down balconies, a private Master deck with a pool and study, and an innovative layout that places the wheelhouse on the bridge deck to dedicate the entire upper deck to the owner.
