PRINCESS YACHTS HISTORY
Princess Yachts was established in 1965 in Plymouth, England, by Cliff Viney, David King, and Brian Phillips, originally as Marine Projects (Plymouth) Ltd. After selling their first boat — "Project 31" — they realized there was a strong market for yacht sales, not just boat production. The Princess 32 — launched in 1970 — became a major success and led to increased production of motor and sailing yachts. In the 1980s, designer Bernard Olesinski boosted the brand with models like the 30DS and 45, that appealed to the growing Mediterranean yacht racing scene. Continued expansion through the 1990s and early 2000s led to the rebranding as Princess Yachts International in 2001. Today, the name represents 60 years of innovation and craftsmanship.
PRINCESS YACHTS PHILOSOPHY
Princess Yachts brings together classic British craftsmanship and the latest technology to build yachts that are not only stunning but also easy to live with. They put their customers at the heart of everything, making sure every little detail adds up to a smooth and enjoyable ownership experience. Their designs are timeless — simple, elegant, and perfectly balanced between looking great and working well. But it’s not just about how the yachts look. Princess is always pushing to improve their products and facilities, driven by innovation and a real commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment for the future.
PRINCESS YACHTS MODEL LINES
X CLASS
X Class is a line of "super flybridge" yachts, first introduced in 2020, characterized by an innovative open-plan design that significantly increases both interior and exterior usable space compared to traditional yachts of similar size. Key features include a long, enclosed sky lounge, a highly flexible Main deck layout that can accommodate a large salon or a Master suite, and design work from Princess Yachts and the renowned firms Olesinski and Pininfarina. The X Class is built for extensive cruising, offering a comfortable and versatile platform for extended time at sea. Ranging from 25 to 29 meters, each yacht welcomes up to ten guests in absolute comfort.
Y CLASS
Y Class line offers a collection of flybridge motor yachts known for their expansive interiors filled with natural light, sophisticated design, and exceptional seakeeping for cultured, long-distance cruising. Key features include elegant, sculpted exteriors, large flybridges, innovative forward cockpits that serve as private lounges, and full-beam Master suites. Ranging from 22 to 29 meters, each yacht hosts up to ten guests.
F CLASS
The F Class line consists of traditional flybridge motor yachts designed for family cruising, offering ample living space, thoughtful layouts, and excellent seakeeping. Key characteristics comprise full-volume hulls to maximize interior space, spacious flybridges, large panoramic windows for light and views, and a social main deck layout that merges the saloon with the cockpit. Built for comfort, performance, and elegance, recent design and engineering advancements create a home-like experience on the water. Ranging from 14 to 20 meters, these yachts accommodate up to eight guests.
S CLASS
S Class is a collection of "sportbridge" yachts that merges the speed and artistic lines of a sportscruiser, with the luxury, comfort and spaciousness of a traditional flybridge yacht. Specific features include a smaller, functional sportsbridge, strong performance with a Maximum Speed of 38 knots, and a luxurious, single-level main deck with large, panoramic windows. These yachts also emphasize outdoor living and watersports, with large cockpits, aft sun pads, and integrated garages, to create a functional and enjoyable on-water experience. Spanning 20 to 25 meters in length, these yachts host up to eight guests.
V CLASS
The V Class yachts are all about combining speed, style, and comfort. They range from 12 to 20 meters and can easily welcome up to eight guests. With their sleek, low-profile design and sharp V-shaped hulls, these boats handle beautifully on the water. What’s really great is their hardtop with roofs and doors that slide back, so it's possible to switch between open-air fun or a cozy, sheltered ride. Inside and out, they’re built for both thrill and relaxation, using top-quality materials and smart layouts that give plenty of room to hang out and soak up the natural light.
C CLASS
C Class is Princess’s fresh take on high-performance, open-layout center-console yachts made for those who love adventure and the thrill of being close to the water. With sleek styling and outboard engines, these boats are all about freedom and connection with the sea. This new line — the first since the X Class — is aimed at younger, adventurous luxury buyers looking for excitement on the water. The first model, the C48, features Princess’s innovative SVVT hull for better speed and efficiency, plus a flexible deck that can be either an enclosed saloon or open-air setup. It’s set to make its debut at the 2026 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. At 14 meters in length, these yachts comfortably fit up to four guests.
