Pendennis Shipyard was founded in 1988 in Falmouth, Cornwall, evolving from a small yacht builder into one of the world’s leading superyacht refit and new-build specialists. Milestones include the launch of its first motor yacht Ilona in 1999, expansion to Palma (2011) and Vilanova (2019), and a £22 million Falmouth upgrade. Pendennis has earned multiple World Superyacht Awards and trained over 350 apprentices. Recent growth includes acquiring Norfolk Interiors (2021) and a majority stake in Cockwells (2024). Celebrating 35 years in 2023, Pendennis continues to combine British craftsmanship with global innovation in luxury yacht construction and refit.

Pendennis Shipyard's philosophy centers on bespoke craftsmanship, custom building, and providing lifelong care and support for their yachts. Pendennis doesn’t offer model or production lines. Instead, they build fully bespoke luxury superyachts, ranging from approximately 26 meters to 56 meters, tailored to each client’s specific requirements. Here are four of their most notable yachts.

VIJONARA

Vijonara—a 39-meter sailing yacht—won Best Sailing Yacht and Best Exterior Styling at the 2019 Boat International Design & Innovation Awards. Hemisphere is a 44.2-meter award-winning luxury performance catamaran, designed by VPLP and built by Pendennis and recognized for innovative design and spacious interiors. She has a sleek aluminum hull, advanced sail systems, and expansive deck space for entertaining. Notable amenities are multiple outdoor lounging areas, a large salon with panoramic views, ample guest cabins with modern comforts, expansive range of water toys, and an advanced stabilization system.

OCEAN PHOENIX

Ocean Phoenix is a 41-meter performance-oriented sailing yacht built with a carbon fiber hull and deck designed by Dubois. She combines racing capability with luxurious comfort. The yacht has a high-tech sail plan, refined deck layout, and a tailored interior by Redman Whitely Dixon, promising elegant guest accommodation.
