HARGRAVE CUSTOM YACHTS HISTORY

Hargrave began in 1957 as the premier American yacht design firm led by Jack Hargrave, shaping the success of builders like Hatteras, Burger, and Amels. After his passing, former employee Michael Joyce returned in 1997 as CEO and transformed the company from a design office into a yacht builder. He recognized the shift toward integrated in-house capabilities and launched fully custom yachts under the Hargrave name. Blending tradition with technology, Joyce positioned the brand in the 24–45-meter segment, emphasizing performance and personalization. Today, Hargrave is a leading name in American semi-custom yacht construction with strong client loyalty and ongoing innovation.
