DUNYA YACHTS HISTORY

The waterfront site now housing Dunya Yachts has been in the Ergun family since the 1950s. Initially a holiday home, it became Ursa Shipyard in 1983 after rezoning shifted commercial shipping from the city center. In 2005, Sedat Ergun assumed leadership, modernizing the yard into a state-of-the-art facility for building and refitting superyachts, and launched the Dunya Yachts brand to rival northern European yards. Since then, the yard has built the acclaimed 73-meter Axioma and completed refits on over 25 yachts up to 72 meters. Sedat Ergun, educated in the US, remains the founder and visionary behind the company.

DUNYA YACHTS PHILOSOPHY

At the heart of Dunya Yachts philosophy is a client-focused approach: they integrate every preference seamlessly into the design and build process. From initial concept to delivery, their dedication to excellence guarantees that every journey aboard a Dunya yacht is extraordinary, safe, and uniquely personal.

DUNYA YACHTS MODEL LINES

Dunya Yachts specializes exclusively in custom yachts rather than maintaining a fixed list of models. That means all yachts are rare, unique, and bespoke vessels. Notable vessels include:

AXIOMA

Axioma is a 72-meter luxury motor yacht known for her stunning design, with exterior styling by Sterling Scott and an interior by Alberto Pinto.

Key features are a distinctive turquoise hull, a large open mezzanine atrium in the main salon, and a multi-deck layout with a beach club, infinity pool, and cinema. The interior was designed for a bright, contemporary beach house feel with light woods and natural fabrics. There is also a gym, steam room, and a range of tenders and water toys.

KING BENJI

The 46.7-meter King Benji—delivered in 2024—offers exceptional luxury and a 4,000nm range. Featuring a full-beam Master suite, five elegant cabins for up to ten guests, and interiors by Design Unlimited, this multi-award-winning yacht boasts a beach club, deck Jacuzzi, and extensive water toys—perfect for unforgettable Mediterranean or Caribbean charters.

PROJECT FAITH

Dunya Yachts' Project Faith is an 87.5-meter superyacht under construction, set for delivery in 2028, with her design featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. She will have a helideck, an infinity pool on the aft deck, a sundeck with a Jacuzzi, and an extensive wellness area including a spa, sauna, and steam room. The exterior is designed by Tim Heywood Design, naval architecture by Van Oossanen, and interiors by H2 Yacht Design.

PROJECTDY010

Set for completion in 2026, Project DY010—measuring at 48 meters—represents Dunya’s next generation of custom superyachts. She features hybrid propulsion, a steel‑and‑aluminum structure, and generous exterior lounges framed by large panoramic windows. This fully bespoke project integrates advanced efficiency systems and contemporary design philosophies tailoring ultimate privacy and long‑range autonomy for discerning owners.
