Castagnola Yachts
About Castagnola Yachts
Castagnola Shipyard—located in Lavagna, Italy—specializes in crafting custom wooden motor yachts and luxury tenders ranging from 9 to over 40 meters. Founded in 1974 by master shipwright Giovanni Castagnola, the yard has grown into a place where classic wooden boatbuilding meets cutting-edge methods such as epoxy sheathing, carbon fiber reinforcement, and the patented Wood in Tech Skin (WTS) system that boosts strength and longevity. Now led by Gabriele Maestri, Giovanni's grandson, it produces high-performance vessels like the Heritage 9.9, capable of 34 knots, and eco-hybrid projects up to 24 meters. Notable works include refits like the 38-meter yacht Angra using West System epoxy. Renowned for superyacht tenders and day cruisers, Castagnola upholds over 50 years of Italian maritime excellence.
