BROWARD MARINE YACHTS HISTORY

Broward Marine Yachts was founded in 1948 when Michigan boat technician Frank Denison purchased Fort Lauderdale’s Dooley’s Dry Dock, renaming it and starting a service and repair business. In 1953, the yard launched its first custom motor yacht, Stormy III, designed by John Wells, followed by the 24-meter Jonathan III for Harry Blum. During the Korean War, Broward built NATO minesweepers but later refocused on luxury yachts. Over the years, the shipyard has delivered more than 300 vessels. In 2009, Bruce and Chris Moore took ownership, forming Broward Shipyard, Inc., continuing to build custom yachts from 18 to 50 meters.

BROWARD MARINE YACHTS PHILOSOPHY

Broward Marine's philosophy is centered on building custom, high-quality, and durable luxury yachts with a reputation for seaworthiness, efficiency, and lasting value, summarized by their slogan, "Demand the Finest". The company focuses on creating unique, custom-built vessels that blend classic style with modern innovation, emphasizing both aesthetic appeal and practical performance.
