AMER YACHTS HISTORY
Fernando Amerio — recognised worldwide as a trailblazer in the nautical industry — began shaping his legacy in 1973 with the creation of Permare. A skilled mechanic, passionate diver and fisherman, he had already foreseen the rise of Italian leisure boating back in the 1960s. Permare quickly evolved into a trusted service hub, dealership and custom builder. Driven by innovation and a profound love for the sea, Amerio founded Amer Yachts in 1990, unveiling a refined 20-meter model as its first launch. Over the decades, his vision — now shared by his children and granddaughters — has led to more than 100 yachts delivered worldwide. Amer Yachts continues to grow under three generations, blending tradition, research and modern strategy.
AMER YACHTS PHILOSOPHY
Fernando Amerio and his family approach yachting with a distinctly future-oriented mindset. Their yachts are engineered to cruise efficiently at low speeds while still being capable of delivering exceptional top performance when desired. This dual capability grants owners the rare privilege of true flexibility: the luxury of serene comfort paired with the thrill of total command.
